Charles W. Simrell
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Cemetery west of Obion, with Bobby Stewart officiating. Cryer Funeral Home in Obion is in charge of arrangements. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Simrell, Tyler Pollock, Steven Simrell, Ray Simrell and Shane Sanford.
He was born in Obion Oct. 7, 1927, son of the late Henry and Argie (Fitzpatrick) Simrell. He was a farmer and was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Preston and Mary Simrell of Obion and David and Ann Simrell of Union City; his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Delandus Simrell of Obion; three sisters, Louise Eckholoff of Memphis, Marine Higgins of Fulton and Bernice Neunsinger of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Ray Simrell.
