Ethel Lee Fox

She was born Nov. 9, 1912, in Perry County, daughter of the late Lemmie Lee and Nellie (Dorton) Tate. She was a homemaker and a member of the former Glass Church of Christ and the Glass-Mount Moriah Community Center.
She is survived by two grandchildren and their spouses, LeEllen and Jimmy Smith of Troy and Tim and Jamie Fox of Obion; six great-grandchildren and the spouse of one, Jay Fox of Obion, Clay Smith and Jackson Smith, both of Nashville, Samuel Smith and Micah Smith, both of Troy, and LeAnna and Corey Jones of Obion; and five great-great-grandchildren, Jaylan Fox, Garan Fox, Lance Jones, Jack Jones and Sam Jones, all of Obion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson “Jack” Fox, in 1999; her son, James Edward “Sonny” Fox; her daughter-in-law, Shirley (Cutler) Fox; her infant son, Jackie Lee Fox; three brothers, Jack Tate, Harry Tate and Griffin Tate; and her sister, Maude Houston.
Services were 3 p.m. Sunday at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion. Jimmy Smith officiated and burial followed in Rosehill Cemetery in Obion.
Pallbearers were Jay Fox, Corey Jones, Clay Smith, Jackson Smith, Samuel Smith, Jaylan Fox and Garan Fox.
