Virginia Parker

She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and a friend to many.
Mother was a member of the Greatest Generation. While her husband was at war in the Pacific, she worked for Firestone Rubber in Memphis, helping build life rafts for the troops. During the Vietnam conflict, she was employed by the Milan Arsenal, producing munitions for the war. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Union City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Allie (Crittendon) Bell of the New Home community of Martin; two sisters, Evelyn Warren and Lois Bell; her brother R.A. Bell; and her granddaughter, Hilary Holt.
Left to honor her memory and remember her love are her three children, Sandra Cobb of Orange Beach, Ala.; Steve (Donna) McMinn of Cleveland, Tenn., and Stan (Mary Ann) McMinn of Knoxville; three grandsons, Mike, Josh and Todd McMinn; and her nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 18, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home of Martin, with the service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Collier Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dr. Donnie Davis, Jimmy Jackson, Gerald Warren and Mark Warren. Memorials may be made to the Collier Cemetery Fund, in care of Betty Nan Carroll, 142 Strawberry Lane, Martin, TN 38237.
