Jerry Mack Newsom

Funeral services were to be conducted at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother John Morgan and Brother Henry Callison were to officiate. Burial was to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were to be Eric Peddy, Ricky Newsom, Kevin Newsom, Brett Johnson, David Wilmath and Jeff Gibson.
Honorary pallbearer was to be Michael Craddock.
Jerry was born March 22, 1954, in Tiptonville, son of the late Rudolph “Red” and Callie Ellen (Waynick) Newsom. He was a retired car salesman and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristy (Eric) Peddy of Mount Clemens, Mich.; his son, Jeremy (Johnna) Newsom of Hickman; two sisters, Betty “Emma Lee” Hamil and Mattie Gibson, both of Hickman; three brothers, Frank Newsom of Union City, Johnny Newsom of Memphis and Gilbert Newsom of Hornbeak; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Newsom.
