Joyce Anderson

Graveside services were set for 11 a.m. today at Hickman (Ky.) City Cemetery. The Rev. Chip Davis was to officiate and her grandsons were to serve as pallbearers. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Lake County, daughter of the late Charlie and Lillian (Jimerson) Vaughn. She married Howard Ezra Anderson Feb. 15, 1948. He died Feb. 15, 1998. She had been the owner of the former Mrs. Joyce Kindergarten for more than 10 years and had worked in the lawn and garden department at Walmart.
She was a member of Hickman (Ky.) First Baptist Church and she attended The Awakening Church in Atoka. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Hickman.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bob Gorton of Union City; her son, Ronnie Anderson of South Fulton; four grandsons, Jason Gorton of Troy, Ronnie Gorton of Drummonds, Blake Anderson of the Crystal community and Brandon Anderson of South Fulton; seven great-grandchildren, Dilynn Gorton, Katherine Gorton, Haven Anderson, Cameron Anderson, Bryson Anderson, Chloe Anderson and Damien Anderson; and her sister, Laura Nell Allen of Dyersburg;
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Wanda George.
