Mary Katherine McKinnis

Services were set for 11 a.m. today, with Danny Lamb officiating. Burial was to follow in Fremont Cemetery. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were to be pallbearers.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
She was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Obion County, daughter of the late Claude and Nell (Rogers) Grady. She married Daniel “Dan” Wesley McKinnis Jr. Dec. 24, 1947. He passed away April 20, 2000.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nita and Dickey Phebus of Bartlett and Dana and Richard Kelly of Martin; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Brenda McKinnis of Johnson City; six grandchildren, Jay Phebus of Memphis, Kelly Davis of Nolensville, Angie Hughy and Bubba Kelly, both of Martin, and Katis Jenkins and Conner McKinnis, both of Johnson City; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her sister and two brothers.
