Jerry Blakley

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Samburg Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Jackie Goad officiating. Burial will follow in Graves Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Rinks, Charles Dean, Larry Davis, Timbo Smith, Butch Wallace and Phillip Thompson.
He was born Dec. 14, 1955, in Lake County, son of John Henry Blakley of the Shawtown community and the late Peggy Sue (Terry) Blakley. He married the former Myrtle “Doodle” Dean Oct. 4, 1987. She survives. He was a former employee of the City of Samburg, where he worked for around 20 years, and he attended Samburg Pentecostal Church.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deanne and James Mosley of Dyersburg; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Zach and Christine Blakley of Shawtown, Jerry Lee Blakley of Hornbeak and Cory and Alisha Goodman of Samburg; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Clyde Blakley of Samburg and David Blakley of Shawtown.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Blakley; and his brother, Frankey Blakley.
