Dot Ervin

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Roger Woodward, Pastor Justin Hiens and Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at Republican Grove Cemetery in Trezevant.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Ervin, Bo Rider, Eli Ervin, Joseph Mallonee, Andrew Crossett, Greg Trotter, Chris Leo and Alex Hahn.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Second Baptist Church Honduras Fund, 831 North Everett Blvd., Union City, TN 38261.
Dot was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Trezevant, daughter of the late William Bert and Opal (Bedwell) Cross. She married Robert Dwayne Ervin Aug. 17, 1956. He died March 1, 2015. Ms. Dot had been the owner and operator of the former Christian Bookstore in McKenzie and Martin and the former Bridal Link in Union City. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and the Trailblazer Sunday School Class. Ms. Dot served alongside her husband on several mission trips in the United States and Honduras.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Eddie Mallonee of Union City; her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Lisa Ervin of Union City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pattie and Kenneth Hutchens of South Fulton and Teresia and Gary Doster of Gleason; her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Susie Cross of McKenzie; eight grandchildren and the spouses of two, Amber Waddell, Joseph Mallonee, Eli Ervin, Kristy Rider, Kelly Rider and Bo and Charity Rider, all of Union City; Isaac Ervin of Bradford and Elly and Andrew Crossett of Milan; and seven great-grandchildren, Madeline Underwood, Marley Waddell, Bentley Rider and Emma Claire Rider, all of Union City, and Andie Crossett, Gracie Crossett and Leo Crossett, all of Milan.
