Hilda Martin Tomlinson

She was born July 6, 1923 in Oakley, Tenn., and was the daughter of the late Wellman Martin and Cora (Pierce) Martin. A former resident of Union City, she was the long-time manager of Lucy’s Shoe Box there before moving to Memphis in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband William D. “Red” Tomlinson; four brothers; and her sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie T. Brown (Jay) of Memphis, and her brother of East Tennessee.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at East View Cemetery in Union City. Canale Funeral Directors in Memphis is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
