Velma Morris

Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Walker officiating.
Burial will follow in Fremont Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be James Morris Jr., Wade Cook, Greg Cook, Clayton Cook, Shane Blair, Keith Douglas and Thomas Grimes.
The family requests memorials be made to Church of God of Prophecy.
She was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Obion County, daughter of the late Stanley “Bo” and Hester (Williams) Bennett. She married James Richard Morris Nov. 5, 1965. He survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
She is also survived by her son, James Richard Morris Jr. and his wife, Dena, of Springfield; her granddaughter, Angela Brooke Morris of Springfield; four sisters, Brenda Grimes, Martha Powers, Debbie Hancock and Barbara Grimes, all of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Denise Morris; her sister, Wanda Forrest; and her brother, Ricky Bennett.
