Jeanné Davis
Jeanné was born in Elbridge in 1938 to Joseph and Virgie Sutton. She moved to Louisiana in 1961 with her late husband and the love of her life, William “Bill” Davis, where they raised their four children and lived for 52 years together in Lafayette and later in Baton Rouge.
Jeanné was the heart and soul of her family. It’s hard to find words to describe how much she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the pride and joy of her life and brought her so much happiness.
Jeanné was kind, unselfish, funny and smart, and she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Jeanné is survived by her children, Don Davis, Bart Davis, Dianne Breuer and Greg Davis; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kirby, Taylor, William, Carter, Michael, Marianna and Julia; her great-grandchildren, Eliza and Sutton; and her siblings, Vernelle Sellers, Mac Sutton and John Sutton.
Jeanné is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virgie Sutton; her siblings, Margaret Argo, Shirley Harrison, Damon Sutton, Ralph Sutton and James Sutton; and her husband, Bill Davis.
