Frank Sturla Canale
He was the son of the late George A. and Augusta Hise Canale. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly (McDonald) Canale; his son, Frank G. Canale of Nashville; his son and daughter-in-law, C. Todd and Karen Canale of Atlanta; and his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda C. and Tom Brown of Rockville, Conn. His brother, Conn Canale; his brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Margaret Canale of Memphis; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Arnett and Cole Michaels of Haymarket, Va., also survive.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Whit and Justin Canale.
He also leaves eight grandchildren, Dominic and Wyatt Canale and Tim, Jachob, Michael, Thomas, Darrance and Halloran Brown.
He was employed by Yegen Associates for 35 years before starting Financial Service Co. Inc., where he was associated with First State Bank and several mobile home dealers in West Tennessee. He owned Town and Country Mobile Homes. He served on the board of directors of the Tennessee Manufactured Housing Association as insurance/finance director and as treasurer. He was an insurance agent for American Modern Insurance Co.
He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City.
His pallbearers will be Tom Cleveland, Louis Jose, Tom Pituck, Ray Capps, Bill Fenwick and Jack Wineman. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnnie Wall, Bill Harrison, Baxter Wheatley, Dr. James Cato, Dr. Louis Caruso, Kerry Garner, Danny Wall and Terry Crittenden.
Visitation and Rosary will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Canale Funeral Directors, 2700 Union Ave. Extended, Memphis. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1725 Central Ave., Memphis. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
