Larry ‘Liquid’ Cranford
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Living Word Church near Hornbeak, with the Rev. Archie Larry officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. today at the church.
White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Cranford, Dylan Cranford, Austin Cranford, Edward Cranford, Chad Folkes and Joe Roberson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Snead, William Morris II, Scottie Corbin and Doug Walk.
The family requests that memorials be made to Living Word Church.
He was born June 29, 1949, in Hickman, Ky., son of the late Paul E. and Opal K. (Kirk) Cranford. He married the former Linda Kay Roberson Dec. 16, 1967. She passed away July 8, 2013. He was a fertilizer truck operator and a mechanic who had served in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of Living Word Church and was a drag racing fan.
He is survived by two sons, Melvin Wayne Cranford of Troy and William Cranford of Bells; four grandchildren, Kayla Cranford, Austin Cranford and Madison Cranford, all of Troy, and Dylan Cranford of Obion; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Beeler, Cameron Cranford and Zayne Cranford, all of Troy; his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Jean Cranford of Obion; and his sister-in-law, Melinda Cranford of Ridgely.
He was also preceded in death by five sisters and his brother.
