Joe Elliott

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from noon until the hour of services Sunday.
Joe was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Sharon, son of Robbie (Lacky) Elliott of the Sidonia community and the late Joseph Marvin Elliott. He married the former Barbara Tucker Jan. 11, 2006. She survives. Joe was a retired tire builder for the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. He enjoyed golf, bowling and gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is also survived by his son, Lee Austin Elliott of Carbondale, Ill.; his stepson, Bren Norris of Paris; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Burpo and her husband, Chris Burpo, of Union City and Brandy Virgin and her husband, Dallas Virgin, of Troy; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
