Ralph Perryman

Funeral services for Mr. Perryman were set for today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Kenton, with Brother Shawn Alred officiating. Interment was to follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton. Karnes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by Barbara Ann, his wife of 65 years, and was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edna (Manus) Perryman; his  brother, Leroy Perryman; and his son-in-law, Stanley Qualls.
He leaves a host of family members who cherish their memories of “Dedaddy,” including his son, Mike Perryman (Gail); his granddaughters, Emily (John) Davidson and Ashley (Cory) Thompson;  his great-granddaughters, Kailey, Adley, Hannah and Linley; his daughter, Gail Qualls (late Stanley Qualls); his grandson, Jason (Jill) Qualls; his granddaughter, Jamie (Josh) Hopper; and his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Emmaline, Easton and Jax. He also leaves his brother, Levan “Cotton” Perryman; his sister, Jean Prather of Clinton Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ralph, “Dedaddy,” was devoted to his family. He and Barbara Ann, “Memama’s,” joy was being involved with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Kenton, where he served as a deacon and treasurer for many years, as well as other positions in the church.
Ralph retired from Texas Gas after 40-plus years. Ralph and Barbara Ann enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially after retirement. Ralph would attest to the fact that he had a good and rich life.
