Pete Weatherly

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Vann Kissell and the Rev. John Poor officiating. Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jake Weatherly, John Weatherly, Bailey Flowers, Kaimin Taylor, Donnie Flowers and Chris Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Norquist, Bobby Hooper, Buddy Griffin, Mark Wilson, Gary Joe Wilkerson and Jimmy Ray Blanton.
The family requests that memorials be made to Troy First Baptist Church.
He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Fulton County, Ky., son of the late Alton Jack and Bulah (Goodman) Weatherly. He married the former Phyllis Marie Sampson Dec. 24, 1953. She died Oct. 19, 2007. He was a retired front end and frame alignment specialist with the former Obion County Ford Motor Co., where he worked for 25 years. He had also been employed at Autry’s Diesel Garage in Troy. He was a U.S. Army veteran who saw service in the Korean War and was a member of Troy First Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters and his son-in-law, Glenda Taylor of Obion and Lisa and Ronnie Morris of Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, Rabon Weatherly Jr. and Pam of Union City; two sisters, Barbara Blanton of Hickman, Ky., and Dolly Wilkerson of Fulton; two granddaughters and their spouses, Stephanie and Donnie Flowers of Troy and Lydia and Chris Johnson of Ridgely; two grandsons and their wives, Jake and Molly Weatherly of Dyersburg and John and Amanda Weatherly of Covington; and five great-grandchildren, Bailey Flowers, Kaimin Taylor, Avery Flowers, Madalynn Weatherly and Hunter Morris.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mandy Taylor; three sisters, Dorothy Simmons, Opal Oatsvalle and Nancy Jackson; and three brothers, Sam Weatherly, Raymond Weatherly and Bobby Joe Weatherly.
