Mike Piatt

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Mike was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Fairfield, Ill., son of Glen Piatt of Bradenton, Fla., and the late Freda Marie (Bruce) Piatt. He had been employed at the former Piatt & Son Oil Co., the former McAdoo Builders Co. and Southern Concrete Co. Mike served as president of the Obion County Little League for 25 years and served as a coach for many years. He was instrumental in starting the Pee Wee basketball league at the former Dixie gym. Mike had served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is also survived by his daughter, Courtney Blackwell (Jeremy) of Union City; two sons, Chad Piatt (Elaine) and Clint Piatt (Camille), all of Martin; his sister, Julie “Punky” McCallie (Johnny) of Knoxville; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
