Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Terry Council will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman (Ky.) City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Mr. Higgins was born Aug. 13, 1947, in Union City, son of the late Robert Lee Higgins Sr. and the late Dessie Bea (Henderson) Higgins. Mr. Higgins was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter and her fiancé, Robin Michelle Higgins and Jackie Holley of Union City; five sons and the spouses of four, Glynn and Rhonda Higgins of Obion, Dale and Tana Higgins of Fulton, David Wayne Higgins Sr. and Angie Higgins of Hornbeak, Mark and Wendy Higgins of Kuttawa, Ky., and Michael Higgins of Union City; two brothers, Johnny Mack Higgins of Lebanon and Sammie Higgins of Union City; his sister, Dorothy McCarthy of Hickman; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Bradshaw; his brother, Odell Higgins; and his sister, Odessa Higgins.
