Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at White & Mahon Funeral Home, with Dr. Vann Kissell and the Rev. Tony Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dominic Santos, Karl Huebner, Justin Ferguson, Micah Schneider, Allen Rinehart, Reuben McCoy and Kyle Legant. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Orsborne, Dr. Bill Shore, Dr. Roger Shore, Jerry Carver, Nick Parker, Matthew Gray, Guy Walker Gray and Mike Grady.

He was born April 24, 1933, in Grenada, Miss., son of the late James Jackson and Eva Mae (Shore) Lloyd. He married the former Bobbye Riley May 14, 1955. She survives.
He received a master’s degree in agriculture from Mississippi State University and was employed with the UT Extension Service in Hardin County for three years before moving to Dyer County as a 4-H leader for seven years. He then served as the Dyer County Extension Agent until his retirement in 1988.
He devoted his life to making agriculture better for everyone and influencing hundreds of 4-H’ers and farmers.
After retirement he enjoyed living on the family farm in Obion County. It is a designated Century Farm, belonging to the family since before the Civil War. During these years, he doubled the size of the original farm.
He served in the U.S. Army veterinary corps from 1955-58. He was a member of the Dyersburg Kiwanis Club for more than 20 years, serving in all capacities, including as president. He was a member of Lake Road Church of Christ in Dyersburg for more than 20 years, serving as a substitute song leader, speaker and teacher of an adult Sunday school class for several years.
He served on the Dyer County Fair Board and the board of directors of the former Quinco Mental Health Council. He was a member of the National Association of County Agents and of the Town and Country Garden Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Linda Joan Lloyd of Obion; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Leslie and Lauri Lloyd of Humboldt, Iowa, and Larry Martin and Michelle Lloyd of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren and the spouses of five of them and the fiancé of one of them, Natalie and Karl Huebner, Heather and Justin Ferguson, Liesel and Micah Schneider, Melissa and Dominic Santos, Claire and Juan Mendoza and Beth Lloyd and Kyle Legant; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Huebner, Cole Riley Huebner and Mary Lloyd Ferguson; a soon-to-be-born great-grandson, Lucas James Santos; and his sister and her husband, Lynn (Lloyd) and H.D. Bassett of Floral City, Fla.
He was also preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Aimee Joy Huebner.
