Willie J. Sisson

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Fulton.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Willie James “Doo Funny” Sisson was born in Fulton to the late Robert and Willie Belle Sisson Aug. 6, 1941.
He attended the former Rosenwald Elementary School in South Fulton and the former Miles High School in Union City, where he graduated in 1959. He was a member of Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of Lane College in Jackson.
He became employed in 1965 with U.S. Steel Company in Gary, Ind., where he was a supervisor for five years, and later, as an employee, he worked with the United Steel Workers of America until his retirement in 2003. After retirement he moved back to South Fulton and was later employed with MTD of Martin.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, James Sisson and Jeremey (Stephanie) Sisson, all of Gary, and Ivy (Kristina) Sisson of Indianapolis; two daughters, Renette Hender-son of Memphis and Willette Sisson of Merrillville, Ind.; his brother, Robert W. Sisson of South Fulton; two sisters, Bettye (William) Thomas of Martin and Beatrice Wilcox of South Fulton; his aunt, Mary Hart of Clinton, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his devoted friend, Kim Dean; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Teresa Garmon.
