Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Carole was born April 11, 1951, in Jackson, Mich., daughter of the late James Issac Mattis and the late Geneva Tennessee (Darnell) Mattis Town. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Brad Walker of Martin, Gina and Darrin Dickerson of South Fulton, J.J. and David Cheney of Union City and Amanda and Nicky Avant of Martin; her son, Clarence Nelson III of Jackson, Mich.; her brother, Gary Mattis of Jackson, Mich.; 19 grandchildren, Geneva “Jenny” Morris of South Fulton, Sammy Morris Jr. of Union City, Travis Morris of South Fulton, Linda Dickerson of South Fulton, Darrin Dickerson II of Mayfield, Ky., Joseph Nelson of Union City, Amber Cheney of Union City, James (Kandace) Cheney of Union City, Zach Cheney of Union City, Caleb Cheney of Union City, Chris Courtney, Jr. of Martin, Gevin Courtney of Martin, LaStacia Courtney of Martin, Brad Walker Jr. of Louisville, Ky., Braelyn Walker of Fulton, Brennen Walker of Fulton, DeAndrea Walker of South Fulton, Laklynn Noonan of Martin and Lyric Noonan of Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Kaiden Morris of Clinton, Ky., Kyson Morris of Clinton, Ky., Aubree Walker of Louisville and Za’Marri Dickerson of Murray.
