Doris Betts
Services were set for 3 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Council and Angie Howe officiating. Burial was to be in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Johnny McAdams, Jonathan McAdams, Justin Harris, James Allen, Byron Betts and Barrett Betts.
She was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Sharon, daughter of the late Curt and Lizzie (Jackson) Simmons. She married James Carthel Betts Nov. 28, 1948. He died March 22, 1993. She had been a receptionist at the former Old & Third National Bank and at Commercial Bank for 37 years and was a member of Union City First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Johnny McAdams of Greenfield; her granddaughter and her husband, Amber and Justin Harris of Medina; three grandsons and their wives, Jonathan and Amy McAdams of Medina and James Byron Betts and Amber Betts and William Barrett and Laura Betts, all of Union City; four great-grandchildren, Emelia Grace McAdams, Nolen Campbell McAdams and Hunter James Harris, all of Medina, and William Bentley Betts of Union City; and her daughter-in-law, Pam Betts of Rives.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Donnie Earl Betts; and two brothers, Roscoe Simmons and Joe Simmons.
