Catherine Yates

Funeral services were Monday at 11 a.m. at Martin Church of Christ, with Bro. Ricky Phillips officiating. Entombment followed there in East Side Cemetery. Murphy Funeral Home in Martin was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Yates; and her parents, Odus and Nellie (Dunn) McDaniel.
Mrs. Yates was a retired investment supervisor with National Bank of Detroit. She was a member of Martin Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Ann (John) Trudell of LaQuinta, Calif., Carol (John) Marra of Hickory, N.C., and Susan C. (Kenneth) Einstein of Martin; two grandchildren, Sarah Trudell (Ryan) McCoy and Shannon (Eric Etheridge) Trudell, both of Los Angeles; and three great-grandchildren, Kate Trudell, Ella Etheridge and Van McCoy. She also leaves her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Yates of Sharon.
