Services will be noon Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melvin Poe officiating Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Frank Watts, Jeff Watts, Kelly Lange, Kenneth Cheatham, Blake Cheatham and Ronnie Yates.
He was born March 13, 1927, in Middle Tennessee, son of the late Elijah Porch and Elsie (Wolverton) Watts. He married the former Marine Slaughter April 9, 1953. She survives. He was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, where he was employed for more than 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is also survived by his daughter, Renee Lange of Elgin, Ill.; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Thomas and Karen Watts of Union City and Greg Watts of Fulton; six grandchildren, Jacinda Graham, Carla Watts, Leslie Warlick, Kelly Lange, Frank Watts and Melissa Watts; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Wanda Watts.
He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Jewel and Reuben Smith; and his brother, Kenneth Watts.
