Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton, with Daryl Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall.
The family will receive friends today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born March 16, 1922, in Gibson County, son of the late Lattie B. and Ethel (Willis) Sturdivant. He was a retired blacksmith who had served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons and his daughter-in-law, Terry and Susie Sturdivant and Larry Sturdivant; three grandchildren and the spouse of one, Lorie Sturdivant, Mary Beth Casson and Timmy and Tabby Workman; and two great-grandchildren, Weston Casson and Macie Casson.
Mr. Sturdivant was preceded in death by his wife, Vernelle Sturdivant; his son, Mickey Sturdivant; and his sister, Hazel Headen.
