JoAnn Maloney

JoAnn Maloney, 79, of Troy died July 27, 2015, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Troy United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Judd Mowery officiating, assisted by the Rev. Phillip Cook. Jack Smithmier will have the eulogy.
Burial will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy.
Pallbearers will be Ray Lynn Dodson, Shane Dodson, Ross Norrid, Ricky Dugger, Mike Watson and Mark Watson.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. “Pip” Little, Jimmie Hart, Steve Muse and Barbara and Jerry Rhodes.
The family requests memorials be made to Troy United Methodist Church, 226 West Westbrook St., Troy TN 38260.
She was born June 29, 1936, in Obion County, daughter of the late Chester D. and Ella (Caldwell) Word. She married the late Gates Maloney Nov. 25, 1955. He died Feb. 4, 2005. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at the former Commercial and Industrial Bank in Memphis. She was a member of Troy United Methodist Church, where she served as treasurer for several years and on several church committees. She was a graduate of the former Troy High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. She was a member of Troy Lions Club and had been a director of the former Bank of Troy.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kurt Lansdell of Athens; her son and daughter-in-law, Lyn Gates and Kim Gray Maloney of Troy; three grandchildren and the spouse of one, Spenser Gray Maloney of Troy, Ella Delaney Lansdell of Athens and Jordan Lyn and Alex Coleman of Madisonville.
