Dianne Donner
Funeral services for Mrs. Donner will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dyersburg, conducted by the Revs. Gary Meade and Kim Kulow. Pallbearer will be Paul Yarbro. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at McIver’s Grant Public Library.
They request that memorials be directed to McIver’s Grant Public Library, Community Cancer Fund or St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She was born March 7, 1949, to the late George Bitner “Sonny” and Emma Jean (Ashley) Norris. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years; was a former board member of the McIver’s Grant Public Library and was a Girl Scout leader. Her ministry included baking, knitting and sewing to benefit numerous charities that were near and dear to her heart. Dianne was inducted into the Mid-South Horse Association Hall of Fame. She raised and exhibited many Tennessee Walking Horses, including a World Grand Champion.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Richard Donner; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Anna and Heath Pritchett and Cheraton and Dale Dykes, both of Dyersburg; her sister and brother-in-law, Janice (Norris) and Larry McCain of Tiptonville; two brothers, Ashley E. Norris of New Iberia, La., George E. Norris of Tiptonville; six grandchildren, Logan, JR, Grant Dykes and Ellie, Emma Claire and Joe Wheeler Pritchett, all of Dyersburg; her mother-in-law, Martha Donner Borthwick of Osprey, Fla.; two sisters-in-law and the husband of one, Suzanne Donner of Franklin and Betsy and John Bloch of Mora, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
