Anita Smith

Services were set for 1 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dan Huggins officiating. Burial was to follow in Berea Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Tommy Craft, Everett Cochran, Roy Griffith, James Matheny, Randy Ursery and Roger “Cotton” Brewer.
Honorary pallbearers were to be David Wisener and Scott Wisener.
She was born May 6, 1940, in South Fulton, daughter of the late Freeman and Virginia (Tubbs) Newton. She was married to Patrick Smith, who survives, and was a bus driver for the Obion County School System. She was a member of Berea Church of Christ.
She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeff Forbus of Rives; two sons, Tim Laster of Rives and Teddy Laster of Union City; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchilden.
