Minola Mackins

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. A.E. McCadney officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the church. Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Woodland Mills, daughter of the late Danville and Alene (Coatie) Cross. She was the widow of Melvin Mackins Sr. and was a licensed beautician and member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters and her sons-in-law, Dorothy and Gene Warsaw of Indianapolis, Nora Lee Mackins of Union City, Imogene Mathis of Chattanooga and Rita and Leautry Davis of St. Louis; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Annie and Allen Kizer and Juanita Harris of Columbus, Ind., and Mary and George Cruse of Upland, Calif.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Danville Cross Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Allen and Bernice Cross of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jerry and Carolyn Cross of Ann Arbor, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Melvin Mackins Jr.; her grandson, Lamont Mackins; four sisters; and two brothers.
