Martha Phelps

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with interment there in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Sunday until the hour of services.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton and was the former owner of Phelps Real Estate in South Fulton. She lived in this area all her life and was active in community affairs.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marda (Phelps) and Bryan Wallace of Jackson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg W. and Lorraine Phelps of Murfreesboro and Paul F. and Rene Phelps of South Fulton; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Maj. Jennifer (Phelps) and Bill Mykins of Crystal City, Va., Gregory Paul and Amber Phelps of Water Valley, Ky., Shelia Rae Phelps of Murfreesboro, Christy Phelps of Alcoa, Bryan and Khara Phelps of Paducah, Ky., Tyler Phelps Wallace of Jackson and William Daniel Wallace of Jackson; her sister, Roberta Floyd Barclay of Clinton, Ky.; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, David W. Phelps; her parents, Robert and Bessie (Pharis) Floyd; two brothers; John Edwin Floyd and Henry Floyd; and her sister, Jeanette Floyd Yarzab.
