Jim Moore

James Cannon “Jim” Moore, 73, of Leesville, La., formerly of Union City, died Aug. 14, 2013, at his residence.
Memorial graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at East View Cemetery. The Revs. John and Claudia Polsgrove will officiate.
Visitation will be held at White-Ranson Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until time to depart for the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Union City or the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born July 4, 1940, in Obion County, son of the late James Randall “J.R.” Moore and of Annie Alexander Moore of Union City.
A Vietnam War veteran, he was a retired computer systems tech engineer for Comet Industries in Leesville and was a member of First Christian Church in Union City.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, James Cannon Moore Jr. of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Randall Skirling Moore of Leesville; three grandchildren; three sisters, Ran Bransford of Atlanta, Angie Harris of Rives and Reece Garner of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Moore.
