Jo Richter

Joyce Elizabeth “Jo” Richter, 78, of Freeburg, Ill., and Belleville, Ill., and sister of Jan Myers of Fulton, died July 17, 2013.
A memorial graveside service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Cemetery near Union City. Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
She was the widow of Paul E. Richter. She was the former owner of Das Kuchen and Kaffee Hays bakery in Macoutah, Ill., and had worked as an Aflac agent. She attended Green Mount Road Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Tony Sovia; her granddaughter and her husband, Leslie and Todd Koesterer; three grandsons and the wife of one, Brenty and Jody Borger and Nathan Koesterer and Sean Koesterer; five great-grandchildren; two other sisters and her brother-in-law; and two brothers.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lola (Davis) Brockwell; two sons, Thomas R. “Randy” Koesterer and Todd Kane Richter; her grandson, Brock Borger; two sisters, Garnett Bentley and Mary Jane Brockwell; and three brothers Bill Brockwell, Elvis Brockwell and Roy Thomas Brockwell.
