‘Bubba’ Knight
Henry Lester “Bubba” Knight, 60, of McKenzie died July 31, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Cemetery, with the Rev. James Radford officiating.
The family will accept friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Ray Erwin, Klain Davis, Billy Barber, Jeff Hall, Cecil Anderson Jr. and Donnie Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Flippin, Henry “Little Bubba” Knight, Lisa Franklin, Melissa Knight, J.C. Ivey and Tommy “Buckwheat” Riley.
He was born Jan. 11, 1953, in Obion, son of the late Robert and Louise (Tipton) Knight. He married Nancy (Matheny) Knight Oct. 9, 1971. She survives. He was a former forklift operator for Southern Star Lumber Co. in McKenzie. He was a member of Freedom Independent Full Gospel Church in McKenzie.
He is also survived by his daughter, Latasha Casey of Dresden; his brother, Dewey Knight of Obion; three sisters, Shirley Willcutt of Adamsville, Connie Willcutt of Michie and Judy Howell of Hornbeak; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three goddaughters; a godson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his son, John Henry Knight; his sister, Martha Erwin; his brother, Jesse Thomas Knight; and his grandson, William Cecil Anderson.
