Anita Johns

Anita Johns, 94, of Union City died at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 1, 2013, at Union City Manor.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Rick Hepler and Lonnie Grady officiating.
Visitation will be held noon until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brad Thompson, Wayne Barber, Jimmy Hayes, Kenneth Kemp, Leonard Todd, Kelly Cross, Jim Ward and Paul Mosier.
She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Obion County, daughter of the late Florence (Brown) and Verdie “V.J.” Johns Sr. She worked as an office clerk at the former Brown Shoe for 40 years, retiring in 1982. She was a Church of Christ member.
She is survived by her niece, Carol J. Coplen of LaCenter, Ky.; three nephews and their wives, Bill and Barbara Johns of Memphis, John and Trisha Johns of Nashville and Dr. Ron and Polly Johns of Fredericksburg, Texas; nine great-nephews and six great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, V.J. Johns Jr., Kobb Johns and Doyle Johns.
