Bob Brasfield

Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Manchester First Baptist Church, with Dr. Benton Cox officiating. Burial with Masonic rites followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Manchester Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born in Fulton, son of the late Robert Edwin and Ethel Rose Brasfield. He was retired from AEDC and was a member of Manchester First Baptist Church.
He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Scottish Rite and the Shriners and was a lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky, especially the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. He traveled to many SEC tournaments. He also loved spending time with his family.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Lou (Atwill) Brasfield, who passed away in 2011; and his sister, Wilma Sue Shaw.
He is also survived by two daughters and his son-in-law, Virginia Ann Brasfield and Gina and Billy Thomas, all of Manchester; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Duane and Leslie Brasfield of Manchester and Jimmy Lee and Olivia Brasfield of Murfreesboro; his sister-in-law, Faye Brasfield of Troy; seven grandchildren and the spouses of two of them, Rod Brasfield, Teresa Brasfield, Sandy Brasfield, Hope Thomas and Ryan Barker, John Hardy Brasfield, Marlisa Brasfield and Samantha and Jeffery Territo; and six great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Donovan, Mya, Brionna, Liam and Craig.
The family requests that memorials be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church, 1006 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester, TN 37355; The Alzheimer’s Association, 201 West Lincoln St., Tullahoma, TN 37388; or The Dusty Elam Foundation, in care of Peoples Bank, 1203 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester, TN 37355.
