Buford Hopper

Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Calvary Independent Baptist Church near Hornbeak, with burial following in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville. Cryer Funeral Home in Obion is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Carl Southerland was to officiate. Pallbearers were to be Paul Moore, Timmy Jackson, Billy Davis, Jimmy Gant, Billy Goodlett and Clyde Cagle.
He was born March 15, 1925, in Hornbeak, son of the late Andrew Jackson and Dera (Bullington) Hopper. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bridgett and Lew Jetton of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Leonard) Hopper, who died Jan. 18, 2013, and four brothers and four sisters.
