Jerry Madding

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Chris Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in Hornbeak City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Harris, Charles Harris, John D. Madding, Randy Weber, Brandon Gallimore and Matthew Lynch.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, TN 38281.
He was born March 9, 1927, in Obion County, son of the late Samuel W. and Esther (White) Madding. He married the former Peggy Guest March 2, 1947. She died Nov. 10, 2000. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Navy World War II and Korean War veteran.
He was a member of Hornbeak United Methodist Church and had been a bus driver for the Obion County School System.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Lynch of South Fulton; his son, Jim Madding of Hornbeak; two grandchildren and their spouses, April and Brandon Gallimore of Fulton and Matthew and Missy Lynch of Medina; his great-granddaughter, Addison Lynch of Medina; and two sisters, Ruth Glover of Whitehaven, Miss., and Jean Easterwood of Reidsville, N.C.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, John W. Madding; and his son-in-law, Royce Lynch.
