Dr. Robert Lynn “Bob” Cameron

He was born in Portia, Ark., on March 3, 1941. He spent his high school years in Jonesboro, Ark., attending Jonesboro High School. He continued his education at Arkansas State for college, the University of Arkansas in Little Rock for medical school and the University of Tennessee at Memphis for board certification in obstetrics and gynecology before moving to Union City.
He served his country in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon from 1968-70. His hobbies were gardening, water skiing, snow skiing, orchid growing and fishing. Bob was an active member of the Character Builder’s Sunday School Class at Union City First United Methodist Church, joining shortly after his arrival in Union City over 40 years ago. 
He is survived by his wife, Paula Ann Cameron; his two sons and their wives, Jason and Katherine Cameron and Jonathan and Holly Cameron; his brother-in-law and sister, John and Kay Yount; his nephews and niece, Jay Scurlock, Cameron Steiger and Suzanna Steiger; and his grandchildren, Allyson, Emily, Chloe, Tucker and Mac. 
He was predeceased by his parents, Inez and Linual Cameron; and his sister, Suzi Steiger.
In lieu of flowers, Bob would have preferred donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the church or charity of the donor’s choice.
A visitation service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Union City from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013. A celebration of his life will follow on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 3 p.m. at the same location.
