‘Red’ Daniels

Completed arrangements are being announced for Morman Floyed “Red” Daniels, 93, of South Fulton, who died June 30, 2013, at VanAyer Manor in Martin.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Flowella Patrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the National Military Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
The family will receive friends 8-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James Sullivan, Steve Sullivan, Steve Clanahan, Shane Clanahan, Shawn Sharp, Ronnie Daniels, Tony Daniels and Harley Showalter. Honorary pallbearer will be Joyce Clanahan.
He was born Feb. 14, 1920, in the Harris Station community, son of the late John Dee and Thomas Berdie (Mayfield) Daniels. He was married to the former Georgie Marie Gunn, who died in 1993. A retired employee of the State of Illinois Highway Dept., he was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and was also a member of Faith Assembly of God.
Survivors include six daughters, Toots Manchester of Paducah, Ky., Estelle Wood of Akin, S.C., Marsha Fair of Mounds, Ill., Linda Smith of Sedalia, Ky., Phyllis Mosier of Beaufort, S.C., and Joyce Clanahan of South Fulton; four sons, Jerry Lee Daniels of Las Vegas, Ronnie Daniels and Tony Daniels, both of Union City, and Ricky Daniels of Arlington, Ky.; his brother, Roland Daniels of Plymouth, Mich.; his sister, Myrtle Lee Collins of Cottage Hill, Ill.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Leon “Bubba” Daniels; four sisters; and three brothers.
