Nathan Wilkins

Completed arrangements are being announced for Nathan Herman Wilkins, 73, of Union City, who died June 27, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Chapel AME Church, with the Rev. Clay Holiday officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Rawls Funeral Home in Union City.
He was born March 4, 1940, in Rutherford, son of the late Herman and Emily (Wright) Wilkins. He was married to the former Sue Helen Young March 2, 1960. She survives.
He had been employed at Green Acres Mobile Homes in Union City for 53 years and was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church, where he served as a steward and a member of the board of trustees and the finance committee and where he sang in the men’s choir.
He is also survived by two sons and his daughter-in-law, Billy and Angie Wilkins of Cordova and Dwayne Wilkins of Union City; his daughter, Cindy Wilkins of Brownsville; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Tess and Earnest Roach and Linda Wilkins, all of Rutherford; his brother, John Wilkins of Rutherford; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
