Louise Hagan

Mary Louise “Tootie” Hagan, 97, of Elkmont, Ala., a former resident of Union City, did July 4, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Mary Margaret (Hagan) Wait in Elkmont.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with burial following in East View Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
John Warner and Robin Wood, along with family and friends, will serve as pallbearers. The Rev. Drew Hayes will officiate.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Obion County, daughter of the late Harry Lebron Jack and Mary Lyle (Johnston) Clement. She married Jesse Elwood “Pat” Hagan Feb. 26, 1937. He died Oct. 14, 1961. She was a longtime secretary in the insurance business and was a member of the former Union City Business and Professional Women’s Club, which she had served as treasurer. She had also been secretary for Union City’s City Beautiful Committee. An avid Bridge player, she was a member of Union City Duplicate Bridge Club. She was also a lifelong member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian  Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret (Hagan) Wait of Elkmont; two grandchildren, Terry Louise and Kristian Klefstad of Nashville and Scott Ryan and Jill Wait of Arvada, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren, Allison Wait and Natalie Wait, both of Arvada, and Katherine Klefstad and Alexandra Klefstad, both of Nashville.
She was also preceded in death by her infant brother and her sister, Polly McNeil.
