Doc Dickenson

Horace R. “Doc” Dickenson, 99, of Weirsdale, Fla., passed away June 2, 2013. He was a former resident of Rives.
He will be entombed at Memorial Park in Memphis, with Hamlin and Hilbish Funeral Directors of Eustis, Fla., in charge of arrangements.
He was born in Rives and moved to Weirsdale from Ocala, Fla., in 2010. He was a retired trim carpenter who, after his retirement, had enjoyed repairing and restoring old furniture.
He would often go to auctions to find his next project.
He is survived by his son, Marc Dickenson of Weirsdale; his grandchildren, Wyll Dickenson of Griffin, Ga., Russell Young of Memphis and Sara Trawick of Nashville; six great-grandchildren; and his niece, Hazell Dowdy of Martin.
