Completed arrangements are being announced for Donnie Brock, 59, of Danville, Va., formerly of Martin, who died June 19, 2013, at his home.? Memorial services will be conducted 4 p.m. Thursday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Phillip Vandiver and Steve Tibbs will officiate.?The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Thursday.?He was born Nov. 25, 1953, in Beverly, Ky., son of Carrie (Asher) Byars of Union City and the late Wallin “Russ” Brock. He was an electrician for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 30 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.?In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah and Ryan Brock of Martin; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Yvette LaRue of Martin, Nayomi and Andrew Warren of Dresden, Nancy and Derrick Rachels of South Fulton and Tiffany and Joseph Rother of Dresden; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Rhonda Davis of Union City and Monty and Mary Byars of Union City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Jim Horner of Union City and Cindy Bynum of Martin; his sister-in-law, Judy Byars of Palmersville; and 12 grandchildren.?In addition his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Guy Byars; three brothers, Russell Brock, Paul Byars and Butch Byars; his sister, Paula Counsell; and his grandchild, Kurt Goudey.?To view the DVD that is an online tribute, or to leave messages of condolence for the family, visit the funeral home website at www.emfuneralhome.com.
