Johnny Minnick

Johnny Floyd Minnick, 77, of Obion died June 12, 2013.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion, with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial was to follow in Elbridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Ivy Minnick, Nicky Minnick, Franklin Reynolds, Gene Reynolds, Ivy Joe Hall and Billy Hall.
He was born Sept. 13, 1935, son of the late Ivy Howard “Buddy” and Stella (Handley) Minnick. He had been a van driver for Reelfoot Rural Ministries.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Brown) Minnick; his daughter, Charlotte Boyd of Obion; his son, Matthew Minnick of Obion; three brothers, Hershel Minnick of Obion, Bobby Minnick of Hornbeak and Charles Minnick of Dyersburg; and five sisters, Wanda Lynch of Dyersburg, Linda Davis and Mary Brown, both of Hornbeak, Sheron Walton of Finley and Viola Bogan of Paragould, Ark.
He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, five sisters and his grandchild.
