Doris Dobbins

Johnnie Doris (Hunt) Dobbins, 94, formerly of Obion, died at Golden Living Center in Union City at 3 p.m. June 20, 2013.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Cemetery near the Cloverdale community. Her grandson, Kevin Dobbins, will officiate. He will also be a pallbearer, along with Andrew Dobbins, James Nicks, Jim Robertson, David Bailey, Jerry Bailey and Butch Fussell.
The family requests that memorials be made to New Pathways for Children Children’s Home, 3311 Shaw Road, Melber, KY 42069.
She was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Obion County, daughter of the late Charlie and Fannie (Puckett) Hunt. She was married to James Howard Dobbins, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the former Glass Church of Christ and she attended the former Cloverdale Church of Christ and Oak Ridge Church of Christ.
She is survived by her grandson and his wife, Kevin and Annette Dobbins; her great-grandson, Andrew Dobbins; and her daughter-in-law, Shirley Dobbins, all of Troy.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Johnnie Dobbins; and her sister, Louise Dobbins.
