Johnny Pate
Mr. John Henry Pate, 66, a resident of Troy, died Friday afternoon, May 8, 2020, at AHC Healthcare in Union City.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Troy, with Bro. Bobby Barnett officiating.
Family will serve as pallbearers, and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Pate was born Dec. 16, 1953, in Obion County, son of the late Louis Clifton Pate and Isabell (Butler) Jackson. He was a former employee of Searcy’s Contractors in Union City and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by two daughters, Kayla Pate of Union City and Rebecca Pate of Martin; two sons and daughters-in-law, John C. (Krista) Pate of South Fulton and Zachary C. (Wendy) Pate of Fairborn, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters, Judy Knight, Janie Walker, Juanita Carson and Anne Hopper; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by two sisters and two brothers.
