Jerry Legens

Jerry Brooks Legens, age 86, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 28th at 12 noon at Central Baptist Church in Martin, TN, with Bro. Kylan Mann and nephew Charles Williams officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m. at the church until time of his services at 12 noon. Burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden, TN. Pallbearers are Jeremy Legens, Dusty Legens, Cruz Legen, Buddy Legens, Barkley Legens, and Richie Cannon. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Evelyn Sue Legens, Jerry’s boys are Rick(Michelle)Legens, Steve(Beth)Legens and Chris Legens. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Zettie Legens and brother Bobby Ray Legens. He attended Dresden High School and was a member of the Tennessee National Guard. Jerry retired from the Weakley Co. Highway Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund.
