Wilmenia Rushing
Wilmenia Rushing, 86, of Union City passed away 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at The Waters of Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Ron Gray will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.
Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wilmenia was born Oct. 23, 1935, in Obion County, daughter of the late Ulyssess Leslie Palmer and Jennia (Wisdom) Palmer Tanner. She married Jim Loyd Rushing Sept. 18, 1954. He passed away March 16, 2010. She was co-owner and secretary of Jim Rushing Trucking Company and attended Union City Church of God.
She is survived by one son, Keith Rushing (Ilene) of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Valerie Allen of Tiptonville, Chelsee McClain (Justin) of Union City and Jim Rushing Jr. of Cleveland; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Wayne Rushing; one sister; and four brothers.
