Janice Yates, 83, a resident of Union City, died May 21, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Leigeber will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Yates was born on Aug. 14, 1938, in Northville, Mich., to the late Carl and Julia (Charnisky) Miller. She was a homemaker and worked for Wayne Bank in Wayne, Mich., for 12 years. On Aug. 1, 1964, she married Paul Yates. He preceded her on April 17, 2021. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Clarksville and was currently attending Trinity Lutheran Church in Dyersburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Julia (Keith) Ransom; a grandson, Jonathan Ransom; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Ransom, all of Union City; a sister, Alice (Marvin) Webber of Kawkawlin, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Paul James Yates.
