Julianne Becton

Julianne Marie Becton, 17, of Union City passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at Regional One Health in Memphis as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services were to be conducted 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Union City. Brother Eddie Mallonee was to officiate.
Visitation was to be held at First Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services today.
Pallbearers were to be Will Crigger, Kyle Crigger, Chris Crigger, Jason Becton, Wayne Becton, Clay Becton, Nathan Pruitt and Carter Pruitt.
Honorary pallbearers were to be students of the Union City High School class of 2022.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Julianne was born Dec. 2, 2003, in Union City, daughter of Scott and Elizabeth (Pruitt) Becton of Union City. She was a senior at Union City High School. Juilanne was a devout Christian who was a member of First Baptist Church, the Campaigner’s group and Young Life. She was a member of the UCHS golf team, pep club and had been a cheerleader.
She is also survived by one sister, Jaime Becton of Union City; her grandparents, Brian and Joan Slusser and Wallace and Mary Ann Becton, all of Union City, and Ken and Gladys Pruitt of Knoxville; her great-grandmother, Peggy Crigger of Union City; and her uncles and aunts, Jason and Kim Becton and Wayne Becton, all of Union City, and Nathan and Dana Pruitt of the Polk Station community.
She was also preceded in death by one aunt, Kristi Pruitt; and her great-grandparents, Billy Crigger and Joyce and Ken Pruitt.
